Fire Burning In Your Business?

Think about a raging fire, that is your business. When it’s hot it’s golden and the money is easily coming in, but what happens when the fire starts to die down and all of the momentum comes to a lull.
Are you noticing a decrease in your sales? Is your traffic and interactions with others online as consistent as it has always been?
If you notice that your flame is getting smaller or has even burnt out, then it is up to you to stoke those flames to keep the fire burning in your business. You don’t want a small candle sized flame, you want a huge bonfire!
The things you do and the choices that you make, have a profound effect on the way your business turns out. This determines whether your business will be headed toward or away from success.
Make the right choices for your business and like a well stoked fire it flourishes, but turn around and start making the wrong choices and it can quickly die out.
So if you notice that you are lacking in your interactions with others and traffic, which are two very big parts of your business, then you need to immediately start working on those areas. It could be other areas of your business that you could be slacking on a bit, this is just an example of two ways that you can slow down the growth of your business after it is seeing some success.
Four ways you can stoke the fire and keep your business hot:
1.) Social media: Interact with others on social media websites like Facebook, Twitter and even Pinterest. Add interesting, helpful and relevant status updates to grab the interests of those who are following you. Don’t just bombard them with buy this and I’m selling that. Offer helpful information because it’s not all about you. In their eyes, it’s what can you do for them. When people like what you are about, they will come to you and buy what you have to offer because they trust you.
2.) Blogging or having a website: This is your spot on the internet, your home base where people can always find you. Allow comments for greater chances of interaction. Try using Comment Luv on your WordPress blog to encourage visitors to leave a comment. In fact I’ve added the Comment Luv plugin to this blog, just for that reason, so when you leave a comment, you’ll get to choose between a few posts of your own, highlight the title of one of those with your comment and get a DoFollow link back to your own blog. How cool is that?
This can also entice your visitors into interact with each other by clicking on the blog post titles of those who comment on your blog if their blog title is interesting to them and they’d like to see more.
3.) Visiting other blogs that interest you: Reading the whole post and leaving meaningful comments is another way to get backlinks to your own website. If your comments are real and they make sense, this can also cause people to want to click back to your website to see what you’re all about simply because they like the way you express yourself. Never ever leave a bogus comment, just for the sake of commenting because people can see right through these type of comments and most likely it won’t be published.
4.) Emailing list: Is your autoresponder optin box easily seen on your website. This should be placed in a prominent spot, preferably near the top. I prefer to add my optin box to the upper right side of my blog, this way my visitors don’t need to scroll or hunt for it to sign up. Offer a valuable freebie gift of value to entice visitors into signing up.
Communicate with those on your list. Share your blog posts and anything else relevant that you feel will benefit them. Don’t just sell, sell, sell unless that is strictly what that particular list is about: that should be made known to your sign ups up front, if that is the case, so they will know what they are getting into when they join your list and won’t unsubscribe.
You have to KEEP doing what it takes to see the same level of success you have already seen and to surpass it if you wish to keep your business going strong. Keep stoking and fanning your flames to keep them building bigger and bigger. Don’t let your flame die out!
