Does it really matter how we approach others online?
Posted by: | Comments
You decided for some reason or another that internet marketing is the career for you. You want to work from home and make lots of money. So much money that you never need to take a 9-5 JOB again. Is money all that a marketer should think of, earning money at any cost?
As an internet marketer you do want to make money online and offline as well if possible. Almost every day on the internet, we come across new people as well as connections we have already made online.
When it comes to our opportunity, services or products, does it really matter how we approach and treat others online if gaining a sale is the bottom line? For me it does.
Here are three things you may not want to do if you plan on being successful and not just grabbing a few sales here and there.
1. Messaging others unsolicited in their inboxes. For many this is annoying. Why not start a mailing list where others may opt in to receive your messages?
2. Add a full page ad in the profile or blog comments sections or on someone’s wall. This is not the way to gain a customer. It makes you look pushy because you are encroaching on the rights of another. They have the right to talk about whatever they want on their profile and blog. That could include advertising.
Why would they want your ad on their page or in their comments section, basically stealing their traffic? Why not fill out your own profile properly and make your own friends and connections. You could even set up your own blog with great content and talk about whatever you like in your own space without offending anyone.
3. Don’t hype up the product, opportunity or service just to make a quick buck. Not only will many people reverse the payment but also never take your word again. More likely than not they will spread the word about you.
Be honest. If it doesn’t pay or work or do like you said it would it can be a bad reflection on you. Never lie and say you have personally tried something that you haven’t.
Never bring someone into an opportunity that you already figured out is horrible. Guess what? They will figure it out too. Your reputation is easy to damage and hard to repair so guard it with care. That rhymed, but it’s true.
While being an ethical marketer will not gain you riches overnight it can set you on the path to gaining all that you desire and more.
Be Selective When Building Your Downline In A Network Marketing Company
Posted by: | CommentsOkay, you have a brand new business and you’re very excited. You know it’s a great opportunity because you thoroughly checked it out. You have some knowledge of how network marketing works and you have a great system in place to help those who join you build their business which in reality is also building your business.
So what’s next?
It’s time to build your team. But do you want just anyone who is willing to sign up? No. It’s understandable that you are very eager to build your team but there is a very good reason that I said no.
You want people to join and refer others to your business because they know and trust you. You want them to join because they believe in the opportunity and really want to be successful like you want to be successful.
If they only joined because of all the hype you were feeding them about the earnings, you will not retain them. It can be very disappointed to earn nothing month after month.
Even if it is a lucrative opportunity it must provide a way for part timers to earn.
Many people only work their home based business part time. Some have jobs, children or other situations that prevent them from working from home full time so the opportunity has to be worth their while.
You will not retain a downline for very long if it is too hard for them to earn.
If they need to wear red and blue on the third Tuesday of the month as long as there is a full moon while spinning in a circle to earn, how many do you think will stay? How many will be able to refer others and show them how to duplicate that? Not many.
You provide them with a good opportunity, honest assessment of
the compensation plan, support and a system that they can
duplicate and they have a better chance of growing their business
and teaching the same to their downline.
You want people with a similar mindset joining your business opportunity. Not just anyone you can talk into joining. You will only learn their mindset if you get to know them interact with and observe them.
What do see when you observe them? Do they flutter from business to business, never working any of them past a couple of weeks and then on to the next trend once they have a few recruits because they are on to the next hottest thing.
What do you think will happen is they decide on a whim to join yours?
You don’t want to sponsor just anyone into your business. It takes more than having the ability to afford to get into your network marketing company to make a good business partner.
When you add someone to your team you are working towards a common goal..SUCCESS. Their success is your success. You want to bring those to your team who are willing to learn and become an asset to your team and in turn do for others what you are doing for them.
Be selective or it will never work! If you had a leaky faucet would you let anyone standing outside with a wrench come in and fix it.
Of course not. An untrained person could take a minor situation and turn it into something major that could really cost you.
If your tooth needed extracting would anyone with a pair of pliers and some pain killers do? Sure they could technically extract your tooth but how much would it hurt? Pretty bad I think.
Making choices regarding your business is no different from any other choices you have to make in life. You have to make wise decisions. If you don’t it could hurt and cost you.. big time.
Sure you may get plenty of referrals if you choose not to be selective, especially if you have a reputation of being helpful or a hard worker, but more likely than not they will be lazy, untrained, unmotivated and waiting for you to do it all for them.
Your business will be like a revolving door, people walking in one side and right out the other.
Keep in mind that those are also the same type of people who will be blaming you when they fail at the business opportunity that they never put any work into.
You cannot, nor should you build a business for someone else. When someone join your team they should be an asset not someone waiting for you to hand them all their referrals or downline. If you are going to do 100% of the work then you don’t need a middle man for that.
Being selective and choosing like minded caring people who will in turn do the same will build a better and stronger business for all of you. You will know that they are properly trained and have the right mindset for doing the same.

Before Paying To Join Any Network Marketing Company.
Posted by: | CommentsYou just heard of a great opportunity. Several people you know are involved with the company and they tell you that his is the one and you need to join now!
You are so excited. It sounds like such a wonderful opportunity. People are earning already. You know how much it costs to join and you have the money.
Halt, stop, do not pass go and do not collect 200 dollars.
1. Have you checked the company out? You can Google the name of the president of the company. Check the company out with the Better Business Bureau and see if the company is reputable or if they have been involved in any business scams in the past. If so be wary of dealing with them.
If they have been unscrupulous in the past do not assume that they have regained good business morals or a conscience now. A good company will run their company well and their aim is not to cheat you. They have integrity.
2. Did you find out how long the company has been around? Timing is important. It is best to not join a company that has just started up. Most companies fail after two years. Where would that leave you? If they make it to three or four years, join then. It will be just as good or better than what they are hyping it up to be now.
3. Have you really investigated the product? Is it truly remarkable? You want a product that people want, need or just have to have. While it is good when you can use a product you market, do you absolutely have to use it? No. It is for the customer and does not have to be for you. Example: A man selling make up or a woman selling vitamins for men. Find out what the people want and give it to them.
Also is the product you will sell available online or in a store for less than you will be asking? If so, where do you think customers will go? People will go to who ever is selling the product for the cheapest price.
4. Have you truly checked out the compensation plan? If the company says you can make 12,000 per month or even 40,000 a month have you checked into how much volume it will take to do that or if your pay plan is even based on volume?
Is the compensation plan based only on referrals? Does the money stop when you are not recruiting? Those are things you need to know. You also need to know what type of plan it is. For example: If it is a matrix plan you may need thousands of referrals to achieve your desired level of pay.
If the company is offering spillover it can promote laziness. Many people will join and do nothing thus waiting for you to build their business instead of contributing to the business. Are you willing to pay month after month or year after year to be in a business that will be almost impossible to get the extremely large amount of referrals needed to achieve the monthly amount of money the company is offering?
Also if your plan is a 4X6 matrix for example: Do you realize that you will not make money on levels 7 on down. What if that is your strongest level? Or what if level 9 is? It does not even matter because you will not get paid on the levels outside of your compensation plan.
5. Can the system be duplicated? If you can not train your sponsored team members to do what you do or if the one who sponsored you has not taken the time to properly train you how far do you think your business will go? People who do not earn money get frustrated and they will drop out of your business. You need a system you can use to train your sponsored members so they are prepared to help build the business.
In addition to these five crucial steps do not hesitate to ask for a companies policies and procedures. That is a binding contract between you and the company. What is in there could seriously affect you. Would you knowingly join a company that could terminate you at any time for any reason or even steal the members you worked hard to sponsor and mentor? Of course you would not, as that would be the equivalent of the company stealing your earnings, but if you do not read the contract you will never know until it is too late. Better safe than sorry.
Gain knowledge. Apply what you learn.

Be Yourself, You Are Not Your Network Marketing Company.
Posted by: | CommentsBrand yourself. Do not typecast yourself as some company. Be yourself. With all the people who may be working with that same company, using variations of the name, there is only one you.
You are much more than the company you are in. Let people see the real you.
Use your real name instead of hiding behind a fake one.
Example- That Money Making Person or Get That Money.
People want to know that you are real. So if you do market under a variation of your network marketing company name make sure that your real name is known too.
Upload a picture of you to your profile page. Let people see who they are communicating with. A photo of money or your company name for example is not as effective as your smiling face. Show you are real person.
Take the time to get to know people. Do not constantly shove your company in their faces.
Most of the time people join other people in network marketing companies because they know and trust them.
You can have in your possession the best opportunity in the world but if people are not feeling you, they will not join your opportunity. You will have as much chance of them joining as a person does when they place an ad.
However if a person is into you as a person and trusts your instincts and opinions they might take that leap of faith and join you and may possibly follow you anywhere.
Network marketing is a relationships business, not just a sales business or just a numbers business. You cannot be a successful network marketer if know one knows who you are.
Remember that companies may come and go but you will still be around. Do you really want to be “typecast” as a company that may not exist in the next year or so.
What if the company turns out to be a scam? Is that all you want to be known for?
Do not hide. Be yourself and only yourself.
Brand yourself. There is only one you!

What Is The Proper Way To Effectively Network?
Posted by: | CommentsBuilding relationships is the key to building a successful business.
What is network marketing?
Is network marketing the act of spamming others in their email or messaging accounts without their permission to email them or without them being opted in to your mailing list. Is it okay as long as they are on your friend list on some social networking site?
Is it harassing every friend, acquaintance, neighbor, co-worker and family member to just “Take a look at my business”?
Or what about joining various social sites and adding thousands of friends just so they can take a look at your business opportunity? Constantly sending them messages about your opportunities without their permission until they end up ignoring or deleting you as a contact.
Is network marketing constantly being on a recruiting mission, never actually taking the time to talk to and get to know them while constantly messaging them about your opportunity?
Is network marketing only a numbers game?
Is network marketing the excessive use of pop ups, turning your site into a never ending labyrinth of pop up ads, that keeps a person on your website while they are desperately trying to leave?
More times than not these tactics don’t work.
What do you usually do if you get spam in your email inbox? That’s right, you delete it. No one likes a spammer sending them unsolicited information with a request for them to dig in their pockets and shell out money. Why do you think they have spam detectors on email? To weed out the spam mail of course. If one horrible piece of spam does happen to get through you just press the spam button and that trains the email system to work even better to block out spam.
There are so many scammers out there that some will automatically assume you are one too, simply because you didn’t take the time to approach them the right way, like with an opt in list so you have permission to mail them or asking their permission. Your opportunity could be legit and they may have joined you or purchased had you approached them correctly.
What about excessive pop ups that show after you click a site off? Ever heard of a pop up blocker? And don’t let a pop up accidentally get through, as soon as I see one of those irritating wastes of my precious time I automatically click it off. I don’t even check to see what it is. I have had bad experiences with pop up that have caused my computer to freeze or worse. I am sure I am not the only person that does this. They are also annoying. Annoying people will not bring you business partners.
When you decide to bring a friend or family member into a business opportunity it had better be good, well researched and tested. There is no better way to make an enemy than to lure someone trusting you into a bad business opportunity. If the program is not all YOU said it would be or doesn’t pay like YOU it would pay who will they lose trust in? What if they were swindled and lost all their money? Who do you think they will be looking at in a bad way and not trust the next time opportunity comes knocking. That’s right…YOU!
On social sites there is nothing I love more than a “network marketer” spamming me in my message box. Now i’m not referring to a close online friend that I know, communicate often with and trust sharing an opportunity with me. Three fourths of the time spammers aren’t even on my friend list on any site or never communicate with me unless they are asking me to join this and buy that. Why not just purchase an autoresponder like Aweber and send messages to those who have opted in to hear what you have to say.
I have even had a guy tell me I was going to join his opportunity and make money even though I pleasantly declined several times. Can you say “Jedi Mind Trip”? That must have been what he was on.
No one likes a pushy arrogant network marketer. So what did I do with that opportunity? I deleted it…filed it in the virtual trash can.
What about doing a full page advertisement on someones profile page in the comment section where you should be saying hello, have a nice day, you’re a great friend, have a nice weekend or even a html picture comment…you get my point.
It’s annoying and rude and the majority of people delete it. So why waste your time on something that won’t be seen anyway when the profile owner deletes it. It may even be considered offensive? Consider the fact that they may be advertising either themselves a company or a product on their profile page.
Network Marketing is not the act of taking a virtual bullhorn and blasting everyone you can reach with your opportunity. You want to reach as many people as possible but there is a right and a wrong way to do that. The right way leads to a successful and duplicatable system. The wrong way leads to loss of contacts or being ignored. It’s very hard to make a new impression after you’ve already left a bad one.
So now that we have learned what Network Marketing isn’t, lets find out what it is.
Network Marketing is people learning from, helping and getting to know each other. Should you really approach someone about business and you don’t even know their name? It is about building trust and bonding with people giving something for nothing…your time or something of value to help them.
It’s not all about you, in actuality it what you can do for them that matters and if they can duplicate what you do or if you can show them a system that works.
There are real people behind the network profiles you see. They have real feelings that need to be respected. If they have a business help them with something or give them something of value that helps them to fulfill their business dreams whether they join your opportunity or not.
That could be worth it’s weight in gold. People sense when you legitimately care or are just trying to make a sale or gain a new downline member.
When something is pleasing people talk about it. Word of mouth is wonderful advertising and can be a great asset to you or your worst nightmare depending on the words coming out of the mouths of people who interact with you.
How can you be an asset to someone, network or even get help from someone without getting to know them. There is only one you. Share yourself with them, promote yourself.. they can’t get you anywhere else. Right?
Help someone without an ulterior motive. Keep in mind that your dream may not be theirs. Teach them how to properly network, if you know how. Keep in mind that people refer those they know and trust so even though they may not be interested in your opportunity they might know someone who is.
If you invest a little time to network the right way it could pay off big time in the future.
To Your Success,
